Shoulder capsulitis

Shoulder capsulitis also called “frozen shoulder” is a common condition that results in painful stiffness of the shoulder. The origin of this condition is not completely understood. Treatment is mainly rehabilitation and medical treatment. Surgery is rarely recommended.

The diagnosis may be confirmed by an athroCT scan that shows shrinkage of the articular capsule.
